When I saw this stock image for the « In perspective » contest by *Mikha, I immediately thought of Little Miss Muffet. I felt related to that classic nursery rhym and the pose was perfect! I once stop to draw for almost ten years, because of different circumstances and when I wanted to start back, I was kind of scare to hold a pen again. Almost as scared that I was in front of a spider when I was little! Like little Miss Muffet... So I kept putting it back, and back again… But then, my daughter got older and she started to ask for her own special coloring lines so I draw some for her, without really thinking about it. After the first surprise, I realized that I was then in front of my spider and that she wasn’t that scary at all! She was a cute loving spider instead! And since the day I’ve finally confront my spider, I’ve befriended her and I have never put my pen down

I'm quite happy with this drawing. It's always challenging for a lineart artist to use a ref. picture with that much perspective.
